South of Fakarava

Thanks to its TV wildlife documatentaries, Tumakohua pass has became an internationally renowned site.
Accessible to any diver, it offers, in addition to its splendid coral formation, a large concentration of gray sharks.

For best observations, we supply dives with incoming current, which occurs on average, 2 x 5 days per month.

To optimize your chances to go: tides schedule are open a year in advance, please consult us.

Favor the end of the year (October to April). During the trade winds season (May / October), the wind can force us to postpone the excursion.
2 to 3 trips per month.

How's it going :
50 ‘to 75’ of navigation to reach south pass 55 km away.

NOTE:
Day trips are confirmed 1 to 2 days before, depending on weather, from 4 divers

Dives can sometimes take place in the morning before lunch.
Lunch can be done in Hirifa or Tetamanu in case of rain.

Intro dives are not offered at the southern pass.
